Hello, I’m entering my third year as an educator. I’ve had the joy of teaching both second grade and now kindergarten. Originally from Wilcox County, my heart led me to pursue my passion for teaching here in Houston County.
I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southwestern State University. In addition to my formal education, I hold certification in the Orton-Gillingham approach, a research-based, multisensory method designed to support students with dyslexia and other reading challenges. I am always seeking new ways to grow as an educator and better meet the diverse needs of every child in my classroom.
It is a true privilege to play a role in shaping young minds. Watching my students grow socially, emotionally, and academically is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Outside of the classroom, I cherish spending time on my family’s farm, where many of my favorite memories are made. My family is my greatest blessing and a constant source of support.
I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the Russell Elementary family—it truly is the best school in the universe—and I’m thankful every day for the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children.
