Bio

Mrs. McCleskey is in her third year of teaching and is originally from Wilcox County. Her passion for education led her to Houston County, where she is excited to serve our students and families. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southwestern University and is currently pursuing her Specialist degree. In addition to her formal education, she holds certification in the Orton-Gillingham approach, a research-based, multisensory method designed to support students with dyslexia and other reading challenges. Mrs. McCleskey previously taught second grade and is thrilled to now be teaching kindergarten. She feels honored to play a role in the growth of young learners and is dedicated to supporting her students’ social and academic development. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family and husband on their family farm, where many cherished memories are made. She is grateful to be a part of the Russell family and for the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children.
