Bio

Education

  • Graduated from Terry Parker High School (Jacksonville, FL)
  • Associates of Arts degree, Florida Community College at Jacksonville (Jacksonville, FL)
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Middle Georgia State College (Macon, GA)
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Georgia Southwestern State University (Americus, GA)
  • Educational Specialist degree in Early Childhood Education, Georgia Southwestern State University (Americus, GA)

 

Mr. Hilton retired from the United States Air Force in 2012 and joined the Houston County School System in 2015. Mr. Hilton joined the Russell Elementary family in 2020. Prior to coming to RES, he taught fifth grade and third grade at Parkwood Elementary (2015 - 2020). 

Mr. Hilton is from Jacksonville, Florida. Growing up, he struggled with both reading and math. It was with  the help of a dedicated, caring teacher that he overcame his struggles and learned to love reading with a passion as well as see Math in a new light. Mr. Hilton is now constantly reading and is always adding to his library so that he can share his love of reading.

Mr. Hilton has one son, Michael, and an amazing granddaughter, Evelyn Rose.

Mr. Hilton loves to paint, draw, read and fish. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. It is not uncommon to find Mr. Hilton enjoying a cup of coffee and a good book in his free time.
