Education

I am a product of the Houston County School System and graduated from Houston County High School. In 2007, I obtained a Bachelor's degree in elementary and special education in the inaugural class from Middle Georgia State University, formerly Macon State College in 2007. In 2009, I earned a Master's degree in curriculum, instruction, and assessment (CIA). In January 2017, I received my doctorate degree with a focus on CIA. Additionally, I hold a gifted and a reading endorsement. During the 2017-18 school year, I am working towards obtaining my science endorsement.

Experience

I began teaching in 2007 and have taught first, third and fifth grade. My favorite grade to teach so far is fifth! I have several years experience teaching students in the ESL and EIP programs. I also have brief experience in special education.

I have taught gifted education for three years. I enjoy expanding on the curriculum to meet the needs of exceptional students.
